Glitz and glamour at the mall

- Serena Ordoveza -

MANILA, Philippines - To create a bond with today’s youth, Crissa presented its Teen Synergy Dance Finals competition at the SM Mall of Asia recently. On its fourth year, this year’s event culminated with a fabulous fashion show, which showed Crissa’s 2009 collection and the launching of its new image models. What a spectacular night it was! It was participated by 16 schools that were selected from a series of eliminations, with Colegio de Sta Rosa bagging the grand prize of P100,000. In second place was St. Mark’s Institute and third place went to Julieber Academy.

The show was all glitz and glamour from start to finish. Hosts Drew Arellano and Rizza Diaz provided the spark with performances from the Street Boys and Callalily band. There were celebrity judges like fashion model Bianca Valerio, GMA Artist head Ida Henares, Dr. Joel Mendez and top dancer Jhong Hilario of Street Boys. But the show did not end there because the packed crowd at SM Mall of Asia were also treated to a fashion show of the brand’s 2009 collection. To end the night, Crissa launched its new image models — Alexis Go, Nadine Howell and Stephanie Henares — who are also in the cast of a new TV show Lili Lulu Lala. It was indeed a busy night for Carter Go, VP marketing of Crissa, who was very happy after a very successful event. He said, “You can be sure that it will even be a bigger event next year. We want these students to stay away from drugs, study hard and learn how to be competitive. Watch out for more youth oriented events and programs we have for them this coming year.”
