The man of the hour

“Strong lives are motivated by dynamic purposes.” - Kenneth Hildebrand

In utmost style, Gerry Contreras, the real estate developer and astute businessman, recently celebrated his fabulous birthday at his elegant and super deluxe Gercon penthouse. Colleagues, prominent friends from the social circle and well-wishers were treated to an evening of songs and tributes led by no less than Madame Imelda Marcos, followed by Broadway and classical songs from the enchanting Angelo group and the Velvet Mood. The romantic-themed party went on till the wee hours as guests enjoyed sumptuous cocktails and the buffet spread from Via Mare, complemented by overflowing wines and champagnes. To the brilliant and multi-talented Gerry, happy birthday!

A much-awaited bazaar

Led by IBF chairperson Lovely Romulo and SHOM president Coseta Fedele, the traditional event is organized in preparation for the annual bazaar benefiting various charitable institutions. This year’s International Bazaar 2008 Hearts and Hands for Charity will be held at the PICC Forums I, II and III on Nov. 16.
