“Design is like gravity — the force that holds it all together.” — Edgar Whitney
A fancy-free yet voguish affair recently took place at Wilcon Builders’ Depot in Libis, Quezon City. Led by the visionary Wilcon president and CEO William Belo, hardworking EVP and COO Rose Bosch Ong and EVP and CFO Lorraine Belo, Wilcon recently unveiled the winning showcases submitted by three students and three professional interior designers. In partnership with the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID), Wilcon unveiled the First National Interior Design Competition, dubbed Interior Design Creativity in the 21st Century. Seen at the affair were some of the contest judges — PIID president architect Arlen de Guzman and internal VP Jiro Estaniel.
Winners for both professional and student categories all received trophies and prizes. First place for the professional category went to Jasmine O’yek Sy. Nicola Berbano bagged second place while Johanna Faustino received the third prize, including a consolation prize worth P10,000 for also bagging fourth place. For the student group, the winners were Khate Caroline Alaba (UST), Epiphany Marquez (UST) and Rowena Garcia (EARIST).
Congratulations!
