Marriage made in heaven

- Johnny Litton -

“A good marriage is that in which each appoints the other guardian of his solitude.” — Rainer Maria Rilke

True love has a way of slowly blossoming into something magical. Five years ago, Vivien Vicente was introduced to Kenny Limjoco at his intimate birthday party by his mother, Cecile Carrion Limjoco and sister-in-law Christine Lhuillier Limjoco. What initially appeared to be a platonic relationship grew into an attraction that both Kenny and Vivien found inevitable, as they were at their happiest when they were together.

Finally, the very handsome couple embraced married life when they were wed recently at the Santuario de San Antonio. Every single detail — from flowers by Jun Hen, bridal gown by Rajo Laurel, wedding cake by Penk Ching, the fiery Spanish-themed decors and cuisine elaborately made for the reception at Manila Polo Club — made Kenny and Vivien’s wedding day one to remember forever.

Congratulations to the couple for finding their soul mates!

In the pink of health

A Shanghai Tang inspired dinner was thrown by Pinky Tobiano for her close friends and loved ones for another year of good health, good wealth and good fortune. Appreciating her good fortune, Pinky’s Chinese inspired thanksgiving dinner included geomancer Charlie Chao and Tibetan monk Mr. Tang, who gave consultations to the A-list guests. A special coin which originated from the Tang Dynasty was given to the guests as a token to give them good luck. The highlight of the party was the Lion Dance. A thousand-year-old traditional dance from the south of China, the Lion Dance is said to attract good luck and drive away evil spirits. An exhilarating 10-minute fireworks display accompanied the Lion Dance, much to the delight of the guests who also enjoyed the sumptuous buffet prepared by Jill Busuego of Delicioso, which were all tested for calorie count by Qualibet Testing Services.
