“The ability to convert ideas to things is the secret of outward success” — Henry Ward Beecher
The premier destination in the Queen City of the South, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu, unveiled its most elegant and grandiose form in a sensational celebration marking its first year in the industry. As a fitting tribute, the dynamic triumvirate headed by nonpareil Asia Pacific Top Management Resources Corp. and Marco Polo Plaza Cebu chairman Alfred V. Ty, visionary president Rey Villar and hardworking GM Hans Hauri honored corporate and travel trade colleagues for their paramount support in making the hotel a well-acknowledged landmark in Cebu.
The hotel team led by marketing consultant Lynn Romero and director of sales Vicky Magsino pooled resources and filled up the lavishly dressed lobby and Cebu Grand Ballroom with guests composed of political, social and financial giants who were enthralled with how Marco Polo up on the Nivel Hills was transformed into a beautiful urban resort hotel — more expansive, more elegant, with an ambiance of east-west charm — where great world leaders have walked through. Amid the evening of nostalgia, entertainment and awards which was carefully directed by PR manager Carlo Borromeo, guests were delighted with sultry performance of Cebu’s pride Verni Varga as they indulged on the buffet table beaming with heavenly feast.
Among the top corporate accounts that received distinction during the evening were eTelecare, GlaxoSmithKline and Dash Engineering. For top travel trade accounts, the key players were Hafti Travel & Tours, Hana Tours and TMJ Travel & Tours. These, along with the hotel’s various clients, partners and supporters, all made a significant role in ushering success for Marco Polo Cebu on its first year in business.
Congratulations to the superb team of Marco Polo and may you be Cebu’s trendsetter and industry leader!
