"Life isnt a matter of milestones but of moments." Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy
Shes a woman who is so secure about herself that when she recently celebrated her birthday with the people close to her heart she decided to put her actual age in her birthday party invitation. The sweet, gentle and self-effacing philanthropist who is active in various charities such as the Childrens Hour is none other than Chuchu Madrigal, wife of banker Mandy Eduque. The accomplished woman, who is also a top executive of the various Madrigal companies, celebrated her birthday in grand style at the residence of another accomplished lady, Chito Madrigal Collantes.
A huge air-conditioned tent enough to house the entire Spirit of 67 band with over a hundred couples dancing was put up for this celebration. Guests feasted on gourmet creations by Le Souffle and Sugi while exchanging pleasantries. This happy reunion of friends truly proved that Chuchu Madrigal is a woman to be admired and respected.
Happy birthday, dear Chuchu!
Lovely socialite Jojo Zabarte recently celebrated a low-profile birthday dinner with close friends at the Ben Kay, Dusit Hotel Nikkos renowned Japanese restaurant. Everyone enjoyed the sumptuous Japanese dishes prepared by Ben Kays new chef, the wonderful ambiance of the place, and the excellent service provided by the Dusit staff. Topping off the evening was a lovely complimentary birthday cake for Jojo.
Happy birthday, Jojo!
This week, your columnist recommends soft pink with a fine and persistent mousse of Jacobs Creek Sparkling Rose. The lemon citrus aromas of Chardonnay are in harmony with the fresh strawberry and red currant characters of Pinot Noir. It has generous red berry and citrus fruit flavors that enrich the palate, an excellent aperitif and perfect complement to salad and seafood. The wine finishes soft and round, with lingering berry flavors.
