The International Day of la Francophonie, an organization of countries and governments where French is spoken, was celebrated in the Philippines with an evening of poetry at the French Residence in North Forbes Park. Led by French Ambassador Gerard Chesnel, the affair included enjoyable activities such as a quiz show about Francophonia and film screenings. The French Spring in Manila is also creating much excitement in the diplomatic and social communities with various events from May to July.

The untiring group of Filipina philanthropists, the Catholic Womens Club, recently held its 85th anniversary with Celebration, an afternoon of commemorating the milestones and accomplishments of this very successful club. CWC president Linda Pastoral led the festivities in the joyful merienda cena held at the charming residence of the ageless and graceful Bea Zobel de Ayala. The occasion was further made memorable through the awarding of CWCs lifetime members and the friendships made stronger by kindness and compassion.
Keep it up, ladies!
