STAR DREAM GIRL: Tania Tankian

-
It was a normal day at the mall for 20-year-old, 5-ft.-8-in. Castillian beauty Tania Tankian when someone from a top modeling agency saw a potential model in her. The next thing she knew, she was appearing in TV commercials, print ads and fashion editorials.

Sweet and statuesque Tania is the youngest daughter of Francis Tankian, a Filipino, and Jan (née Adeney). Though both her parents are involved in information technology, Tania pursued a double degree in International Studies and Law at the University of Canberra in Australia.

"I already did on and off modeling when I was younger," declares Tania. "Now that I have the flexibility in my schooling, I want to pursue modeling." After all, this headturner is hardworking and is determined to achieve something in this field.

Tania, who loves Indian and Thai food, shares that she maintains her trim figure by sticking to a healthy diet, drinking lots of water and living an active lifestyle. In fact, snowboarding is her sport in Australia. Also, she finds yoga as a stress reliever. Here in the Philippines, Boracay is her getaway. "I love water sports," she exclaims. "I don’t care about the crowd in Bora. I bring the fun because I’m with my friends." Tania is friendly and warm, traits that show the Filipina in her.

"I go for friends who will be there for me even if I’m going through an obstacle in life," adds this charming lass.

Aside from her outgoing nature, she also enjoys quiet moments. This she does through writing and cooking. "That’s why I always watch cooking shows. I get tips from them."

To her, a STAR Dream Girl is "someone who’s confident and lives life to the fullest." – Jerni May Camposano
