Away from the klieg lights of fashion and beauty, Connie, who has earned units in pre-Med and Architecture, is the brains behind her own advertising business. This venture makes her busy these days.
"My business is barely a year old," says the 59"-tall Connie, the daughter of American Charles Madson and the former Victoria Andaya, a Filipino. "It deals with packaging design (like conceptualizing shampoo and perfume bottles), doing print ads and producing commercials in the future."
Although most of her business work is all about "coming up brilliant concepts and perfect execution," Connie finds time to do charity work.
"My group is writing a (picture) childrens book," says Connie. "It is a collection of rare fairytales and stories of real-life heroes like Mahatma Gandhi and Winston Churchill," describes Connie of the books contents. "It is inspired by William Bennetts Book of Virtues which teaches kids the importance of loyalty, courage, and a lot more. What is good about this project, it will help kids with cleft palates."
Connie, whose lineage is a mix of Filipino, American, Spanish, Chinese and German, is an "independent and hardworking individual." Her personality, Connie says, is influenced by "my Moms resourcefulness and my Dads efficiency and sense of organization."
Connie plans to continue her architectural studies either in the UK or in the US. Jerry Donato
