But Melody, a Liberal Arts student at the University of Asia and the Pacific in Pasig City, remains her own special self, "simple and approachable," as she puts it.
This 57"-tall lass wants to major in Communication Arts when she becomes a sophomore.
"Since my parents are into business, I think finishing a marketing course will help me assist them in our business," says Melody. "Marketing is important in any business it can make a product or service known and help reach more clients."
The half-Filipino, half-German Melody is the daughter of Jimmy Gersbach and the former Bot Manuel, both entrepreneurs. They are the driving force behind Boracays Gasthof Restaurant.
"In my spare time, I paint, draw and create something," says Melody. "I like rendering such natural subjects as the sun, leaves, forest, trees and flowers."
Melody, who also wants to become a ramp model, keeps herself healthy and fit by engaging in sports and dances.
"I swim and play table tennis," she says. "I also dance ballroom, ballet and folk dances."
Melody believes that to be successful, "One should always expect the unexpected. The best way to deal with problems is to pause, think and take them one at a time."
