The BMW Golf Cup International National Finals was presented by BMW Group Philippines, Inc. in cooperation with TaylorMade, Jack Nicklaus, Lancome Paris and Armani Manila. Your columnist hosted the one-of-a-kind event which gives local BMW owners the rare chance of testing their golf skills with colleagues and BMW executives.
Mark Gilbert, BMW Group Phils. suave president said, "The BMW Golf Cup International is not only consistent with the prestige that our brand is associated with but it also gives BMW owners a chance to meet other BMW owners not just in the Philippines but also from around the world."
In true BMW fashion, every aspect of the event was meticulously planned from start to finish. BMW personnel clad in the official BMW colors greeted each participant who had their own personalized locker equipped with golf outfits and a caddie to bring along a personalized golf bag.
Mark Gilbert led the ceremonial tee-off in a foursome that included Sen. Vicente "Tito" Sotto III. BMW owners, all respected players in the field, matched skills with BMW execs and dealers.
In keeping with the BMW tradition of bringing only the best, tournament prizes were exactly thata trip to Mexico, top-of-the-line golf sets, crystal trophies and golf bags made of pure leather. The after-tournament buffet was a visual and gastronomic feast.

Philamlifes good-looking FVP and Metro Manila Agencies director Ariel Cantos graciously welcomed the agents and managers who attended the event. President and CEO Jose Cuisia Jr. led the celebration as he offered a toast for the President Cup Challenge winners.
The fun-filled and glitzy night honored the top agency and unit managers who contributed to the companys First Year Premium Income (FYPI) mark from July to August 2002.
Awardees included Isagani Antonio (National Champion in the Agency Managers Category) and Segundina Tan (National Champion in the Unit Managers Category). Who could forget the dynamic men and women who made Philamlife the biggest in the country? The night was also for hardworking agency and unit managers from Metro Manila and provincial sectors to receive well-deserved recognition.
