The event began with cocktails where both the Filipino and British members reacquainted themselves. The evening s highlight was a speech delivered by former Solicitor General Raul Goco. He stressed the importance of Filipino and British relations. He also emphasized that members should do their share to cultivate Philippine-British ties to further strengthen the already solid mutual understanding between the two countries.
Ambassador Paul Dimond expressed his wish for the continuation of the good relations between the two countries.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by former Education Secretary Raul Roco who was accompanied by art patrons and JBs proud aunts Mellie Ablaza, Telly Ablaza Aldana and Cris Ablaza.
Over 150 guests including art lovers, fellow artists, family and friends were on hand and expressed admiration for JB who is truly a gifted artist.
