Knit we say more?

- Mayenne Carmona -
Out of curiosity, I brought along a young friend on a "field trip" to Lulu Tan Gan’s atelier to see what a budding fashionista would choose for her wardrobe.

Carole Cuasay is all of 23 summers and already a stunner, a head turner, as our palangga Maurice would quip. A STAR Dream Girl, she is fresh from her studies at Stanford University where she took up a course in Marketing. Carole is not wasting her time in Manila. While deliberating on what other studies to pursue, this hip trendsetter decided to open a beauty salon with her sister in Mariposa Street, Quezon City. It’s called Studio Central Salon and has very modern interiors. The salon offers beauty treatments that are not offered in more conventional beauty salons like aromatherapy massage and foot spa treatments.

Not new in the modeling field, she was Her Bench model when she was only 14. Today, one can see her lovely face in prints and commercial ads.

Plus, lest I forget, she was on the cover of Lifestyle Asia magazine when she was chosen as one of Manila’s Five Loveliest.

In Tan Gan’s atelier, Carole’s youthful fashion sense went for mix and match outfits. She chose a top that can be worn in five different ways! She says that with her budget, she has to be practical and imaginative with her wardrobe. She chose a sarong skirt and a refreshingly sexy halter that could be worn day or night depending on the accessories. And a very chic poncho blouse that could be worn with different belts and camisoles or tanks. Designer Lulu Tan Gan and I were delighted with Carole’s choices!
