Your columnist hosted the fashionable event which featured sultry star Patricia Javier who turned up the heat! She charmed the audience with several dance songs. Among the guests were former Makati Mayor Dr. Elenita Binay; Tower Club membership director Cyndy Tan-Jarabata; CCA Phils. president Arthur Lopez; Fairways and Bluewaters chair Toti Cariño; Philip Cu-Unjieng; Celine Lopez; Joyce Ramirez; Aying de Leon; and the distinguished Friends of the Cultural Center of the Philippines led by president Thelma Gana. Probably the most important man that night, however, was Alfonso Culebras of Creola Barcelona, the man responsible for WAIPAIs worldwide success.
Thank heavens the models in their WAIPAI outfits were just as fascinating as Patricia. The collection showcased funky and summery prints as well as monochromatic colors.
The man who brought WAIPAI to the Philippines is my good friend, Edi Tekeli. He is also the man who brought Mango to the country and made it the recipient of the Retailer of the Year award.
Because of Mangos success and the demand for more stylish and affordable wear, the perceptive Edi thought it was time to introduce WAIPAI locally. Since its launch in 1988, it has become one of the most popular brands that textile company Creola S.A. distributes in Spain and other foreign markets.
How popular is WAIPAI? Well, sales figures have increased by "just" 100 percent per year. This growth is mainly due to WAIPAIs fulfillment of its aim to be a high quality fashion brand sold at a competitive price. Its up-to-date clothes are typically comfortable, so suitable for the modern lifestyle.
With the immediate success of WAIPAI (10 stores will be on the rise by years end), let me be the first to congratulate Edi. Im sure the ladies in this country will be more than happy to wear WAIPAI.
Our congratulations and good wishes to the multitalented Edi Tekeli!
With this added service, the Boracay Regency reinforces its position as the premier, all-in-one destination in Boracay. Way to go, Regency!
