During a recent gathering of foodies and friends, we were treated to a vast array of Russian delectables by US-based Reggie Aguinaldo and her husband Stephen Young at the bustling Ralph’s on Arnaiz Avenue, Makati.
We were introduced to various menu items that included blinis, caviar and smoked salmon accompanied by various Russian vodkas and bubbly.
As famous gourmet chef Lorrie Reynoso enthused, “What a wonderful, fun and delicious tasting it was! I’m glad someone is doing something about Russian/Eastern European cuisine and putting it out there to get discovered.”

A week after, we were fortunate to trek to the reinvigorated Museo Pambata, the country’s first children’s museum set up by founder and good friend, Nina Lim Yuson, with the dedicated team of the Museo’s president Bambi Mañosa Tanjutco, vice president Sofia Zobel Elizalde and current board members.

Celebrating its recent 30th anniversary with a renewed commitment to nurturing the hearts and minds of Filipino youngsters, the newest addition unveiled an interactive space designed to inspire, educate and ignite the imagination of visitors, especially the young and young-at-heart.

As Nina Yuson explained, “With the theme Isla Pambata, the museum honors the rich beauty and power of connection across our islands and seas that make up the Philippines. It celebrates the vibrant diversity of Filipino children, highlighting the deep bond that unites them all.”
