Moët & Chandon’s festive season
When Tim Yap informed me that there would be a Moët & Chandon dinner to present its 2024 festive season, it was an instant, “Yes!” to the world’s most celebrated champagne house that officially launched the holiday season with an exquisite dinner held at the White Space, Makati. The intimate dinner for 40, which set the stage for a season of celebration, elegance and joy, featured a curated dining experience, with each course thoughtfully paired to complement the iconic flavors of Moët & Chandon’s champagnes — from delicate starters to indulgent desserts, the menu celebrated the interplay of fine cuisine and champagne.
The event was attended by personalities from the realms of fashion, cinema, sports, and gastronomy, including beauty queen Michelle Dee and actress Bela Padilla who is not only lovely but is absolutely smart and charming.
True to its 281-year history of blending tradition with creativity, the brand unveiled a nature-inspired design that draws on the beauty of the Champagne region. The centerpiece of this year's festivities was the launch of Moët & Chandon’s 2024 Holiday Edition with gift boxes adorned with golden grapes, lush leaves, and natural patterns, capturing the splendor of Champagne vines and honoring the transformative power of nature. Perfect for gift giving or pure enjoyment!
Project Vino Reserve: An evening of elegance
Project Vino Reserve welcomed its first guests during its recent grand opening at Proscenium, Rockwell Center. The restaurant-bar unveiled a chic, intimate space that marries modern sophistication with the timeless charm of a wine cellar. The soft glow of candlelit tables, paired with live music by a DJ, created an ambiance that promised a unique experience for wine connoisseurs and casual diners alike, proving itself to be more than just a restaurant but a destination for community and celebration as guests indulged in a curated menu that paid homage to good food while spotlighting local ingredients. The bar's star attraction, however, was its “Vino Vault,” a glass-encased collection of rare vintages that left even the most seasoned sommeliers in awe.
What started as a passion project with beginnings in Project Vino Poblacion evolved into Project Vino Reserve catering to a higher clientele. Rooted in a passion for wine, founders Steven Ticzon and Rob Martin, along with Allana Montelibano, Ivee Chua, Mike Luakian, PJ Roxas Chua, Emerson Lee, Marl Pizzaro, Jon and Ann Tajonera, together with chefs Fons Pizzaro and RJ Ramos, ventured into this project with passion and enthusiasm.
