Reimagining with the crocodile
Take a sip while you shop: Lacoste Leather Goods Pop-up Store in Greenbelt 5 Fashion Center

As an ode to the timelessness of leather and its French heritage, Lacoste gets intimate with consumers and immerses them in a Parisian vibe at its Leather Goods Pop-up Store ongoing until Sept. 29 at Greenbelt 5 Fashion Center.

The brand’s signature Petit Pique and graphic patterns are now beautifully reimagined into luxe leather goods. From chic and versatile pieces, Lacoste’s timeless and unique savoir-faire are very evident in the five-piece collection: Maheki, L.12.12, Athena, Anna, and Zely.

During the opening, celebrities Gabbi Garcia, Kyline Alcantara, Sofia Andres and Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo were spotted carrying probably the hottest item in the collection — the Maheki.

Made of 100-percent cow leather with gold accent, this arm candy, with its embossed half-moon design, can be worn as a shoulder bag and a crossbody. It comes in three colors: black, bone white and sinople.

Of all the bags in Lacoste’s roster, the L.12.12 has seen many iterations — from compact to large sizes. This time, the versatile bag features the brand’s Petit Pique coated canvas and embroidered crocodile.

Touted as the “new shopping bag,” Athena is a refined take on the classic L.12.12 designed with soft grain leather. Crafted from the signature petit pique material, it can hold your daily essentials, and perhaps small grocery items.

Anna is a reversible two-tone bag. Available in medium crossbody and large tote, it comes with a removable clutch. It’s playful, colorful and designed to effortlessly transition from day to night.

Flower power: Get a bouquet of flowers with every purchase at the Lacoste Leather Goods Pop-up.

Zely, which tops my list, is a more feminine take on the signature L.12.12 style. It’s part of the Monogram Collection that debuted in the French brand’s spring-summer 2025 line.

While shopping, guests can enjoy croissants, macarons, croc-shaped cookies and cups of coffee at Le Cafe Lacoste during the pop-up until Sept. 29.

And every purchase gets you a free limited-edition pouch — which can be embossed with your initials — and a bouquet of fresh flowers.
