There’s a new couple in the ton: Lush x Bridgerton
Dearest Gentle Reader, did you swoon when Penelope Featherington, aka Lady Whistledown, finally captured the heart of dashing Colin Bridgerton in Bridgerton Season 3?
Personally, my favorite Bridgerton coupling was Anthony and Kate in Season 2, but I digress, because the real breaking news is that there’s a new couple in the ton, and it’s none other than Lush, that British bastion of vegan, handmade cosmetics, and Bridgerton itself, the hit series on Netflix.
Yes, after dalliances — I meant, collaborations — with icons like Spongebob, Shrek and Barbie, Lush has finally settled on Bridgerton, a pairing that’s produced five fragrant offspring. Quite literally the diamond among them is Colour, Clarity, Carat, Cut — a solitaire-shaped bath bomb that melts into a shimmering, citrus-scented lather of Regency blue and pink — Queen Charlotte would totally approve!
Another bath bomb is called Two Families (after the Bridgertons and Featheringtons, I presume?), marrying as it does the fragrances of gourmand chocolate-orange and calming lavender, which fizz together as frenetically as Colin and Penelope do whenever they’re together.
See and Be Seen is a boudoir staple — a passion-red silky body wash that will leave you smelling like a bouquet of long-stemmed roses.
Bee is a solid body balm that will make you buzz with delight when you glide this honey-scented bar anywhere that needs moisture.
Crème Anglaise body lotion is a sumptuous banquet of sweet vanilla, creamy cocoa butter and the sweet Rose Jam scent that’s been such a sensation at Lush.
Even the premises of the store, which at Shangri-La Plaza has moved to the second level, have undergone a makeover worthy of the Modiste. Whitewashed walls allow the colors of the cosmetics to pop, and as always, Lush’s distinctive cornucopia of fragrances wafts through the halls, luring in prospective customers. Only time will tell how long this new Lush x Bridgerton union will persist. My prediction is that it will endure as long as supplies last.
