Celebrities support Vilma Santos' National Artist nomination
MANILA, Philippines — Celebrities showed their support to "Star For All Seasons" Vilma Santos' nomination as a National Artist.
During the Aktor PH official nomination last week, celebrities such as Alden Richards, Baron Geisler, Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz, Isko Moreno, Gabby Concepcion and Tirso Cruz III gave their support to Vilma through a video presentation.
“Good luck po. Let’s support her,” Alden said.
“I just want to express my sincerest support to her nomination as National Artist, the long overdue honor that could have been given to her for her exemplary body of work in the Philippine cinema and her contributions to the industry in the most professional matters,” Baron said.
For lovers Julie Anne and Rayver, Vilma is an inspiration not only for the showbiz industry but for every Filipino.
“Sinusuportahan po namin as National Artist si Miss Vilma Santos. Isa po kayong inspirasyon,” Julie Anne said.
“Congrats po,” Rayver added.
Isko said that Vilma should receive her National Artist award while she is still alive.
“I’m one of many supporting Ate Vi as National Artist. Deserved niya 'yon. Naku, panahon na. Good luck Ate Vi and God bless you,” Isko said.
“I belived that nasa iyo ang kapasidad na 'yon. I’m here to support you, kumare. I hope to see you soon,” Gabby said.
“Congratulations to Vilma Santos for being one of the nominees sa titulo bilang National Artist. Alam niyo karapat-dapat talaga kay Ate Vi ito sa lahat po ng kanyang achievements at awards. Aside from that, for being a public servant. So Ate Vi, congratulations,” Tirso said.
