Lillibeth Campos and Marissa Fenton held a joint 70th birthday celebration at the Marriott Grand Ballroom on June 8.

Lillibeth’s husband Paqui tells me that because of the close friendship of Lillibeth and Marissa, he and Hans Fenton have also become besties as well!

It was one of the most swinging and rocking ’70s parties at the Marriott Ballroom. It was absolutely dazzling and entertaining — a total blast!

Consul Mellie Ablaza, Consul General Fortune Ledesma and Consul Helen Ong and Agile Zamora.

Everyone was supposed to come in their ’70s getup, some more than others. When I told my son Vernon I didn’t have ’70s outfit, he said, “Don’t worry, Ma, most of your clothes are ’70s anyway.” That’s according to him, haha!

Finally, two birthday cakes rolled out beautifully decorated and lighted with one candle each! All of these, the decor, the balloons all over the ceiling, mixed with the glitters, were handled by Michelle Garcia Arce and her Storyteller team. Their meticulous attention to detail ensured that every aspect of the celebration was perfectly executed!

The diplomatic hall of the Marriott ballroom was transformed into a colorful and energetic scene reminiscent of the golden era of disco, with guests taking to the dance floor enjoying the rhythmic movements and spirit of the decade, dancing to its timeless hits!

Happy birthday, Lillibeth Campos and Marissa Fenton!
