Rodeo Glamour and a Wild West extravaganza
Club Bulakeño, under the leadership of president Emmy Gonzalez, celebrated the Yuletide season with a Rodeo-themed extravaganza held at the Forbes Park Pavilion in Makati City. The venue was transformed into the Wild West and was perfectly complemented by the members’ and guests’ stylish cowboy attires.
The highlight of the evening was a feast fit for the caballeros and caballeras, featuring a whole roasted calf donated by members Connie Dy and Evelyn Elliott, an array of cheeses and deli meats, and the delectable chicken relleno and smoked salmon specially created by president Emmy. The atmosphere was made more exciting with a special square-dance performance by select members.
Distinguished guests, including club founder Lydia Reyes and club adviser and Rustan Commercial Corporation chairman and CEO Nedy Tantoco, added flair to the soiree. The night concluded with lucky members and guests lassoing weekend getaways to famed local destinations like Balesin and Boracay.
A festive fusion of birthdays, banquets and benevolence
Our group, JL & Co., gathered for a Christmas dinner at the opulent Canton Road restaurant in Shangri-La The Fort, Manila, in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. This intimate soiree, a harmonious blend of elegance and warmth, doubled as a celebration for the trio of birthday mavens: Arlene Chan, Sheree Chua, and Ayna Ong.
Amid the sumptuous spread and convivial conversations, we embraced the true spirit of the season, sharing not just the joy of Christmas but also the spirit of giving. It was a delightful evening where good food and even better company met, which ushered the new year with style and camaraderie.
