NCT Dream comes back to Manila to make concert dreams come true
MANILA, Philippines — From the moment NCT Dream announced their “NCT Dream Tour: The Dream Show 2: In a Dream” in Manila, the hype and anticipation from NCTzen (the NCT fan club) did not die down.
The fans have waited five years for the group to return for a show in Manila. And NCT Dream did not disappoint, because they really did come back for a bigger show — in a bigger venue, with bigger performances, and for two nights!
While beloved member Chenle could not join due to health reasons, that did not stop other members Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, and Jisung from giving the audience a series of powerful stages, from the first beat of Glitch Mode up until the double encore, Candy. And every NCTzen in the SM Mall of Asia Arena rivaled the group’s enthusiasm with delighted screams, beautiful neon green lights from their Neobongs (NCT light sticks), and the unending support that could be witnessed through their singing along and dancing along to every song.
Aside from their set list filled with crowd favorites like Hot Sauce, Puzzle Piece, and Beatbox, the group also made sure to have hilarious banter with the audience by having commentaries in both English and Filipino.
The anticipated ballad Sorry Heart took place with a video of Chenle’s live performance playing, while Renjun and Haechan serenaded the crowd in the arena. It made it seem like Chenle was right there with everyone. And the most anticipated, heated performance of Quiet Down had everyone holding their breath because of how magnetizing every member was throughout the song.
As both shows ended, NCT Dream members did not forget to remind the NCTzen to take care of themselves and to wait for them because they will be back — and definitely as 7Dream with Chenle.
Both nights of “NCT Dream Tour: The Dream Show 2: In a Dream” in Manila were proudly presented by SM Entertainment, Dream Maker Entertainment, and Pulp Live World.
