Rupert Jacinto's 'Bohemia'
Artist Rupert Jacinto (center) at his exhibit “Bohemia”: Consul Helen Ong (third from left) headed the ribbon cutting at 1335 Mabini Art Gallery on Chino Roces Ave. with (from left) Marisa Gutierrez of the art gallery, Aida Posadas, Mache Torres Ackerman, Tita Trillo of Titania Wine Cellar and Rupert’s daughter, Liezl Jacinto Sato.

His exhibit poster reads: “Next to photography, where Rupert Jacinto has earned the title: “Photography to the Faaabulous” by the prestigious Washington Post, painting has always been the artist’s second love.  He has been dabbling in the arts since his high school days and has mounted several one-man exhibits in the past.

Rupert says: “Just like my portrait photography, beauty is the underlying trait of my paintings. My art encompasses beauty of form, of symmetry. I go with the flow.”

The artist Rupert Jacinto is a nominee in the Order of National Artist of the Philippines, is an International Award-Winning Portrait Photographer, (Tokyo, Japan) and has had one-man exhibits in New York, Paris, Palm Beach, and San Francisco, among others and has photographed royalty, heads of state, prominent men and women of the world.

A favorite: “Nestled in my Big, Little Universe” is a diptych, acrylic, 82 in. x 61 in.
