Innocent parties

- David C. Dakanay, Chairman, Board of Elders, Cosmopolitan Church - The Philippine Star

We wish to call your attention to some inaccuracies in your article “Yasay figures in church row” last June 11, 2012 on Cosmopolitan Church and Yasay.

In the 3rd paragraph of the article, Yasay claimed that “UCCP’s National Commission on Discipline and Conflict Resolution locked the church building to prevent Dakanay and her group from ransacking the office because they allegedly have plans of breaking away and setting up a separate church.”

Why would “Dakanay’s group” need to ransack their own offices when they were in control of these until the morning of May 1 when Yasay and his group raided the church and broke into these offices.

In the counter charges, reference to a “Dakanay’s group” is malicious. In fact it is the Cosmopolitan Church Council that is in adversarial stand against Perfecto Yasay and Oscar Suarez.

Kindly make the appropriate disclaimer with commensurate prominence that innocent parties will not be unkindly incriminated.
