a sacred act to build his dreams
that in God’s own ways, reinvents
the Filipino’s hearts and minds.
Burst of gunfire at the tarmac
were divine energy that sparked
the sleeping mass to hate, to fight!
like grassfire in cold, inky night.
The awakened millions, now, brave
joined the long march to his grave
as they shout for change and justice
and to end the dictatorship!
JAJA was jog protest run
from Luneta to Baclaran
to hone the brave men and women
for a fight against Marcos reign!
The August twenty one movement
embodied Ninoy’s heart and mind
in leading all protest movements
to topple the Marcos regime!
CAPM was Don Chino
and Tita Cory Aquino
who both fought for democracy
and press freedom for our country!
