'I really missed you guys': Lee Min Ho happy to see Filipino fans after 7 years
MANILA, Philippines — Korean star Lee Min Ho expressed his gladness seeing his Filipino fans up-close.
During his Manila visit over the weekend for SMDC, Lee said that he missed his Filipino fans because it’s quite a while since his last visit.
“First of all, it’s been seven years since I came back to the Philippines and I really missed you guys so much! I’m very glad to see that everyone has overcome the difficulties of the coronavirus and we are now well. I’m very happy to see you again!” he said.
Lee credited his fans for staying long in the industry.
“My secret to being able to stay for so long is because of your love. The love that I see from my fans, it allows me to become a better person. That’s why I myself, receive that kind of energy from my fans, I try my best to return it to them, too,” he said.
He also congratulated the SMDC for being an incredible company.
“First of all, I’d like to congratulate the 65th anniversary of SMDC. It’s an incredible company that is able to withstand 65 years and it’s an honor for me to be part of this brand too. And I’m very happy that they’ve given me the opportunity to meet you guys tonight,” he said.
“The fact that this company has been around for 65 years, it’s not an easy thing. I myself, I’ve debuted, it’s been 16, 17 years. To see this company survive for so long, that is the reason why, I really love this group,” he added.
Lee has been to the Philippines several times since he became one of Korea's Hallyu stars.
He has been to fan meets that were organized by his Philippine endorsements, including the last one with Bench in 2021.
Lee is best known for his roles in "Boys Over Flowers," "City Hunter" and "Legend of the Blue Sea." He is set to star in the second season of "Pachinko." — With reports, video from Deni Rose M. Afinidad-Bernardo
