DFNN poised for expansion

MANILA, Philippines — DFNN Inc. is poised for expansion as it explores more partnership opportunities with the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), while also potentially venturing into new businesses through its collaboration with Spain’s CIC Consulting Informático.
DFNN president and CEO Ricardo Banaag said the company’s successful collaboration with the PCSO which has made lottery games more accessible through LottoMatik, opens up doors for more potential partnerships in the future.
“For PCSO and for us, this is really just maybe a start. For us, we’re going to look at other areas for collaboration. But for now, I guess this is what we will be focusing on,” Banaag said.
LottoMatik is a handy, portable point-of-sale device that allows small businesses and individuals to sell PCSO lottery tickets. Its main goal is to reach areas that currently lack lotto outlets.
“This is for us is very strategic because it gives us a new line of business. We have always said before that we are a tech company above all, that our focus is on delivering innovative technology solutions. And this is probably one of the most innovative technology solutions that we have come up with. And we are happy that we’re able to launch it,” Banaag said.
Since its soft-launch in November 2024, DFNN’s LottoMatik brand has became one of PCSO’s corporate authorized agents for its lotto offerings, with 600 terminals deployed so far.
“We managed to come up with the innovations for an industry, lotto industry, that was maybe for a few decades has been relying on a simple technology. So, for now, I guess we are focusing on being able to roll this out. We said technology leadership. This is I guess a good example of technology leadership for us at DFNN,” Banaag said.
DFNN said the increased accessibility for PCSO’s lotto offerings will help deter individuals from participating in illegal lottery activities, curbing the growing illegal operations, thereby protecting government revenue streams intended for social welfare programs.
Aside from its partnership with the PCSO, Banaag said that DFNN’s collaboration with CIC is also expected to materialize this year.
DFNN formalized last year a strategic joint venture agreement with CIC that is “poised to create endless opportunities in the technology sector.”
CIC is a company with technological expertise and a comprehensive suite of software solutions, with presence in more than 40 countries servicing 180 clients and supporting 150 vendors.
