Horoscope

July 8, 2004

- Joyce Jillson -
The sun enters wise, old Pisces. Its transit through the final sign of the zodiac in the weeks to come will bring an end to many a karmic circle. Many people will realize the reasons for events that seemed nonsensical. Pisces represents spiritual rebirth, and during this transit, we will balance our physical existence with spiritual concerns.

ARIES (March 21-April 19).
The completion of a long-term undertaking will leave you satisfied and in high spirits. An unsuspected talent is brought to light. A conversation with an under-appreciated co-worker brings you two closer.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Once you’ve cleared away busywork, you’ll be ready to take on the really challenging and productive tasks that excite you so much. You can bank on your skill as a negotiator and diplomat. Concerned relatives call to get news.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Emotional needs are answered if you concentrate on other pursuits. Pay attention to the political climate; think issues over carefully. A new approach to a too-familiar task makes work easier. Interactions with a boss improve.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Express your feelings of appreciation. Say yes to a dinner invitation. Enjoy sparkling conversation with a new acquaintance who’s more interested in you than in a job. Allow complainers to dig their own graves.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
A friendship that turned sour turns sweet again. You have improved prospects for investments, courting love interests and creativity. A personal project takes on new life. A task you didn’t feel satisfied with will earn appreciation.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (July 8).
A complete goal restructuring this month sets you off on an adventurous year. Travel in the last week of September puts you in a lovely social circle. A new October love challenges your ideas of spirituality and religion. Money is earned through sales in December. Apply for new work or more money before August. A lusty Leo pursues you. Sagittarius is your partner in a wild adventure.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
In love, be clear and brief. You’ve got intrigue working for you. At work, it is wise to steer clear of confrontation, as your mood is potentially volatile. It is both challenging and necessary to keep a budding romance in perspective.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Just plain, good sense steers you best. Use your humor to calm down an irate customer or client. A romance with a Pisces or Leo is marvelous. Don’t let the emotions of a relative lead you to do something you don’t want.

SCORPIO (Oct.24-Nov.21).
By working slowly, you actually make faster progress because nothing has to be redone. Your leadership quality comes out at a meeting and shows the boss you have management potential.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov.22-Dec.21).
Your money focus now will be beneficial later, but don’t be hasty in your expectations of a partner. Let honest sharing and mutual, creative problem-solving heal the situation and provide resolution.

CAPRICORN (Dec.22-Jan.19).
Your energy is vital to a very constructive project. Provide service where needed. Compromise, and you are soon rewarded. Your values matter. Release relationships or hidden fears that don’t support you.

AQUARIUS (Jan.20-Feb.18).
Be good to your body. Unexpected information or health conflicts may throw you off track. Release negative secrets or fears. Give yourself "alone time," and your intuition will guide you.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
You increase your chances for a promotion by being vocal about work situations and expressing opinions. Consult with an expert who relieves anxiety and helps increase productivity. Share your own personal experience.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"My birthday is Jan. 7, 1939. My co-workers think I have an attitude because when I handle money, I take it seriously. I don’t want to make a mistake. I mind my own business and do my work the best I can, but I still get complaints. What can I do?"

Your moon is in theatrical Leo, which often gives you a higher profile than you’d like. When you are trying to keep it low key, others notice and comment on your every move. It seems impossible for you to simply blend in while doing your job. As a Capricorn, your strength is your hard-working attitude. Others are jealous of how accurate and efficient you are, and this is what motivates the conflict. With your planet of ambition in secretive Scorpio, you may be hiding your ambition from the world in some ways. By becoming aware of your goals to make it to the top instead of feeling you must always get along and blend in, you’ll erase the conflict in your own mind and de-escalate it in the workplace. In other words, you’re not meant to blend in. Admit it, you want to be in charge more than you want to be liked. Eventually, you’ll learn to do both. At work, smile often and try to understand why others do what they do. If you don’t take offense, no offense was really given.
