Horoscope

June 13, 2004

- Joyce Jillson -
The auspicious relationship between Venus and Neptune subtly influences our romantic lives. The part of ourselves that we think is so secret is actually obvious to most other people, including the very ones we are hiding it from. The stars hand-deliver an invitation to us to admit our weakness. Maybe it’s acceptable – and maybe it’s adorable.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Celebrate the small stuff, but also know that today’s wins are only a glimpse of your bright future. In order to bring a creative endeavor to completion, you may have to give up a piece of the pie for the expertise you need.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Family requests are too numerous to count, but the needs of others have come first for too long. It’s time to attend to your own. Regarding your special project, you’ll find out all you need to know – just get busy and ask friends.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Maybe something extra isn’t what you need. Subtracting from your life brings focus that adding cannot. The happiness you’ve been searching for is right under your nose. Pricey hobbies will eventually pay for themselves.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
You figure out fast what you’re comfortable with and what you’re not comfortable with. Rigorously evaluate a family situation. It’s either working or not, and it’s time to either completely accept or totally change the situation.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Those who can keep up with your high energy level will be a great help, but the ones who slack behind could drag you back. Cut people free of their obligation to you, and then, you’ll be in a position to accept only the best support.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (June 13).
You’re so inspired this year that you inspire others as well. Playful energy helps you accomplish some hard work in the next five weeks – exactly what you needed to get ahead! Finances are so improved that you may invest in a business or move to a better neighborhood in the fall. Your connection with a Sagittarius attracts money. Your lucky numbers are: 35, 26, 29, 51 and 30.x

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
It’s a pleasant day, and you’ll be balancing duties, family and love with admirable grace. There’s still trouble with a difficult person, but find something positive to offer – some credit that’s deserved – and the situation gets better.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Frolicking and entertainment are featured! You make an excellent first impression. Material gains are made through friendly associations. Keep secrets no matter how much you want to tell, or the betrayal will ruin something nice.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21)
. Extend hospitality to newcomers in the neighborhood. This makes life a lot easier down the line, but it also makes you feel wonderful right now. Tonight’s lesson: It is impossible to gain maturity without experience.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
What you projected comes true! Clarity in goals, strategy and tactics is what will energize your efforts. Those who were formerly against you may take your side now. Spice up your love life with an evening of romance.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Love provides challenge you didn’t know you needed. People seem more open to your affection, and you’ve got plenty to give. You will get it back tenfold. Singles: A new date comes out of the woodwork.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Because you take responsibility for your own decisions, you feel empowered to do what you want. Let others run their own show, too. Procrastination leads to a last-minute frenzy; get it done ahead of time.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Knowing your limits prevents others from crossing the line. Concern over money will soon seem silly – that is, unless you still don’t have a plan. If you do, have more faith in your plan. Focus on financial freedom, and you’ll get it.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:
If there is one word to best describe the tone of this week, it’s "carefree." Those traveling are experiencing the ease that savvy Gemini provides, especially if they’re in a non-English speaking country (in which case, they are probably not reading this, so what do they care?), because Gemini solar energy knows how to smartly get around, using intellect to hurdle over obstacles of language or culture. For the rest of us at home, Gemini energy loves to tease us with the benefit of the doubt. We afford it to others, give it to ourselves and use it to ignore whatever we don’t feel like looking at. There’s a very fine line these days between optimism and denial. Erring on the side of false hope won’t be so bad. At the start of the week, Venus and Neptune flirt and scheme together, subtly influencing our romantic lives. Although we’re convinced that we’ve kept part of ourselves under wraps, a secret to the rest of the world, the truth is that it is obvious to everyone. Perhaps it’s time to confess who we really are. Saturday, Mercury transits into Cancer, where it will be until the Fourth of July. Practice your mental telepathy.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
It’s fitting that stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (6/13/86) were born under the sign of Gemini, the twins. The Olsen twins are full of new ideas for keeping up with a changing market. The two have been inseparable as child stars, but as they turn 18 this year, their individual identities will emerge. While one goes in a new direction with her love life, the other will experiment with her public persona.
