Jupiter and Uranus are having a tense planetary discussion, the force of which can be felt in our tendency to overdo things in various ways – not necessarily a bad thing. A burst of unwarranted and unexpected generosity, for instance, can start a tidal wave of affection in your life. The lesson is, whatever you do well, do it often, and do it big!

ARIES (March 21-April 19).
You have plenty of ambition, but moderation and balance are what are needed now for career advancement. Progress takes time. Be patient. This evening, rest with someone who inspires you – romance rejuvenates you.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
What is left undone will build until it explodes. So make sure that you handle all you can and even some things that you thought you couldn’t. Couples integrate their individual financial assets – an exciting step.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
The one who comes to you to get a job done will be lucky, as you do a crackerjack job at whatever you put your mind to today. Be careful about what goes into your mind. Read quality, watch quality, and hang around quality.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Love feels like a ride on a Ferris wheel – there are ups and downs, and it’s all very predictable what’s coming up next. Get off this wheel! Even a roller coaster would be better or at least more thrilling.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Something you once thought was mandatory is really a choice. Subscribe to beliefs that are real to you, not automatically assumed because that is what people around you believe. Capricorn contact is lucky.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (May 29).
The "overnight" success that you’ve been working toward for years will come to be. Family is tuned in to your ambitions and will help. Be receptive to the unconventional in September. Finances take a wide turn for the better in October. Cancer is a constant positive influence this year, but Leo cannot be beat for bringing good fortune into your life. Your lucky numbers are: 4, 30, 21, 49 and 52.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
There’s luck for shopping and finding the exact right item – on sale even. Pending business can be settled with one phone call if you’re talking to the right person. For singles, romance is part of today’s package – the fun part.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
You complete difficult tasks with one part persistence, two parts information. Ask around to be sure you’re approaching your task the most effective way. A tough conversation is featured tonight, but this clears the air.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
This is the weekend to make money. If you think too small, you’ll have a hard time earning. Broaden your mind to more possibilities by spending time with people who grew up differently than you did.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Examine your feelings, and specific plans will form in your mind. Don’t be too quick to move on your conclusions. Try writing down your thoughts before sharing them. A second source of income comes from a hobby.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Make sure you can depend on someone before you really have to. Is love with an Aquarius on your mind? Just call! Stay away from shopping. A smooth talker could have you buying a lot of what you definitely don’t need.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
You may have to cool a relationship until the other person decides what he or she wants from you. Know your strengths and what you’re doing right in life. It’s a good day to make a for-your-eyes-only list of your achievements.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
You’ve got the drive to win. This new power comes from being shown what you want in a big way. Instead of getting jealous of those who already have it, you get busy. Your original ideas could be sold for top dollar.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"I’m conflicted, and maybe if you look at my chart, you’ll see why and give me direction. I was born March 3, 1979. Basically, I’m trying to decide if I should go back to school and work toward having a job with animals or children, or stay in the newspaper /politics side of life, which has been pretty good to me. The former is a leap of faith, but I think it could work. And the latter has been good to me, but I hate working at a desk all day. Should I get over it or just get away? I hate asking for advice, but all I see are options and dreams."

I challenge you to meet 10 people who are working with animals or children in some capacity and interview them about their jobs. This will take you out of dream state and into a specific reality and a plan. I do think you should get out of the desk job and go to school — but only when you’ve got a few specific jobs you’re interested in pursuing. You have a talent for healing (Pisces with Mercury and Mars in Pisces) and would be excellent in social work, nursing, veterinary work and working in a salaried position for a non-profit or animal charity.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Jewel writes about identity in her songs, and she hasn’t been afraid to make bold changes in her image, either. She made a big shift with her album "0304" from a gal with a guitar to pop princess. Geminis flirt with new personalities almost daily, trying them on like the latest fashions. This liberates friends who might not be as free to revamp their styles. Jewel did many a fan a favor by simply being herself.
