Horoscope

July 30, 2003

- Joyce Jillson -
During the emotional Pisces moon, many feel more in tune with the natural tides of emotion, so it seems very unnatural to get out into the world and project anything other than exactly what you are feeling. During this lunar transit, work may be the last thing on your mind, but do it anyhow. Situations we want to avoid teach us about ourselves.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Your mind is full of creative fuel, so burn up some brainstorms. Take a break this afternoon, and engage in activities that power your imagination. A moneymaking idea seizes you when you least expect it.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
It’s easy to become too critical of yourself. Everyone makes mistakes – get over it. The afternoon brings silliness and strange entertainment. Just because someone is weird doesn’t mean he or she won’t be a terrific friend.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Luck at games of cards and chance is mind-blowing. Get set to win big. End an unhealthy relationship – a clean break is best. Shopping could be just the distraction to keep you happy, glamorous and ready to find someone new.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Brave the unknown. Pay attention to what you got done today rather than the way events made you feel. Satisfaction is gleaned from action. Leave the mushy stuff out of the picture. P.S.: Return that library book.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
So much to do, so little help. Caffeine or vigorous exercise gets your blood going. The big decision you’ve been playing hide and seek will finally tags you. Make a choice. A friend’s wisdom helps you figure it out.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (July 30).
Even though it’s bright outside, many tell you how much sunshine you bring to their lives this year. Some of you may even enter into a healing profession in August and find yourself wondering why you hadn’t made the change earlier. Money problems fade soon. Linking up with air signs Gemini or Aquarius lightens and brightens your spirits this fall. Your lucky numbers are: 28, 49, 10, 50 and 3.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
Leadership is your calling today. Remember, constructive comments take a little longer to phrase than critiques. Your insights are key to an important project. The home front is full of confrontation. Don’t take it personally.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Complete unfinished projects this morning. All the energy drains you’ve accumulated can be systematically plugged. A charitable donation to a stranger in need does not go unnoticed in the karmic sense.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21)
. A friend has the same emotions as you. Reaching out is the healthiest thing you can do. At work, let your shoulders descend from their upright and locked positions. Your job goes better when you trust others to do theirs.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
You’re seeing a pal in a new light. Don’t act on impulses. Friendship proves to be more stimulating than a romance would be. Social gatherings go swimmingly. Wake up your sense of fun tonight by trying a new hangout.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Don’t shy away from the limelight: Let loose, and live big. Editing yourself so much gets a little tedious. Illusions about your personal limits melt away when you speak up. Real love is ready to grab your heart.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Luck is on the up and up. Try your hand at a new project you were wary about undertaking previously. You’re ready now. People will respond positively to your enthusiasm. Empathy draws you to an uncharacteristic partner.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Make a decision about your level of commitment to a project. If you’re half in and half out, nothing gets done. Money luck seems to be missing from your life now, but tomorrow changes that.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"I was born on March 17, 1972. I have a problem finding myself where I live now, in Germany. I was successful in my career where I came from, but now, I feel so useless and so low. I want to work again, but things are not so favorable at the moment. Can I also find self-fulfillment here?"

A Pisces with Aries moon and Mercury, you’ll be lucky moving somewhere you’ve never lived before. The weather where you are is strongly affecting your mood. You’re one of those people who thrive on sunlight and should consider moving to Nevada, Arizona or the south of France. However, I strongly believe that you can find self-fulfillment anywhere in the world. Fulfilling oneself has to do with how you talk to yourself, comfort yourself and lead yourself to interesting conclusions. You could live in a beautiful palace on a mountaintop with all of the money in the world and still be miserable if you’re not a friend to your authentic self. While you’re getting your moving plan together, spiritual studies could help you get in touch with the inner you who’s in charge of your happiness.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Donald Sutherland was lauded earlier this year for his work in "The Italian Job." One of Sutherland’s first jobs was in radio, and this year, he could reprise the work with his own syndicated radio show about living an artistic life. Cancer natives have a special way of communicating to fellow artists, especially on the topic of staying sensitive and still working in a highly competitive business.
