- Joyce Jillson -
The Cancer solar transit is an education about how we feel on deeper levels than are normally experienced on a day-to-day basis. It’s a good time for anything that’s being harbored in our hearts to bubble to the surface and a perfect opportunity to take action we’ve been delaying. The Aries moon provides the impetus to get moving.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. The excitement of sexual attraction is in the air. For couples, it’s a good time to renew love. Clever money management enables you to take advantage of a future opportunity. Avoid useless bickering!

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
People are willing to do anything for you. A few hours of fun in the afternoon make work much more pleasurable. A child finally agrees with you about a decision. Double-check the phone bill for a costly error.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
If you have a funny feeling about a social arrangement, don’t hesitate – cancel now. Make a two-month projection before committing to a financial plan. Your family catches your contagious sense of humor.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
If you have children, have fun with them while keeping a close eye on their activities. If your mate is more like a child, the same goes. Return borrowed items before it becomes an issue.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Reaffirm what you already knew: Honor your value system, because the deeply personal elements make life satisfying. When it doesn’t feel right, there’s a reason. Puzzle pieces fall together tonight. A Virgo lends wisdom.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (June 29).
This year, ignore what society tells you, no matter what. You’re lucky when you concern yourself with your long-term goal without worrying about how others are accomplishing theirs. Spending like crazy in August will do your business some good. In September, ride a more moderate course. Lucky love signs are Sagittarius and Capricorn. Your lucky numbers are: 4, 25, 19, 43 and 28.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
Start something big. Family members interrupt your flow unless you take measures to ensure that you get some quiet time. Little shopping trips pay off in big bargains – and a flirtation that lifts your spirits.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
If you don’t speak up to family members who keep pressing you, the cycle continues. Appreciate quiet tonight as solitary moments are highlighted as opportunities to get in touch with your inner wisdom.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21)
. You certainly deserve a break, so arrange to do as little work as possible. Consult others about repairs to the homestead. It’s a mistake to put your fate in the hands of the well meaning but possibly misinformed.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
You may need to reconsider a point or two, but ultimately, your opinions and beliefs should never be coerced by the will of another. You have a fine grasp of what is needed in order to lead the good life.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Money falls in your lap! This is only lucky if you know what to do with it. Remove yourself from any questionable situations, and protect yourself from the instant bad karma that will result from the creation of bad intentions.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Efforts to involve everyone today may be more trouble than they’re worth. Inform the group of your plan, and then, let people fend for themselves. A loved one may be in limbo, but that doesn’t mean you have to be, too.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Feelings relating to independence are powerful. It’s a perfect climate for getting your way with little effort. The one who is pressured to take sides will stand behind you. Introspection can actually heal an ailment.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:
The sun dances – and mopes and explodes and shuffles and skips – through the sign of the crab. Cancer has many emotions, and they all come to the surface in the next few weeks, as much as you may try to hide them. It’s an opportunity to purge your life of the things that have been holding you back – like friendships that are not healthy for you, jobs that stifle you and living environments that don’t reflect who you really are. Cancer is like a big red arrow pointing to the things around you that irk you to no end, now that you notice them. (Don’t spend time wondering why you never noticed before!) The Aries moon starts off the week with lots of energy, vitality and purpose. And with Mercury and Venus in jovial Gemini, it’s still easy to communicate your aims in a friendly way and possibly get people to help you out. Then, the moon transits to Taurus, and the hard work begins – only you don’t feel like it’s hard. Getting to the end of the race happens one step at a time. With the Gemini moon taking over for the weekend, it’s going to be fun-fun-fun-till-Daddy-takes-the-T-Bird-away.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Cancerian "Fox News" journalist Brit Hume’s popularity isn’t just due to his sonorous voice and bedroom eyes but comes from his magical astrological chart. A typical Cancer, Hume is loyal and intense about his work. But it’s his Piscean moon that seduces newsmakers into revealing secrets. His Mercury in Gemini makes him pounce on a meaty story with a panther’s ferocity and a puppy’s charm.
