Horoscope

June 15, 2003

- Joyce Jillson -
This afternoon, the Libra moon and Gemini sun are so compatible that you’ll find yourself taking an "it’s all good" attitude around friends and family. It’s mostly because your emotions and sense of self feel congruent. It feels OK to want what you want. The people nearby are all potentially helpful with whatever you’d like to accomplish.

ARIES (March 21-April 19).
Family and children are on your mind. You are willing to make personal sacrifices in order to teach or guide someone else. You thrive on teamwork now and can accomplish much more using the strength of numbers.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Physical energy is high. The afternoon is fun – a little shopping and pampering. Answers to a career puzzle come to you when you’re not thinking about work. In love, trust your instincts, and do not falter.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Your entrepreneurial spirit is featured, and you’ll dream up the next big thing. Keep the momentum by writing about your creation. Your emotional smarts make you a favorite with friends. Don’t take anyone’s admiration for granted.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Goals are never far from your mind and heart. Work you are proud of is taken to an even higher level when you make minor changes. Watch your words; negativity is not soon forgotten.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Money-managing habits pay off. Daily obligations bring you joy, but be true to yourself, and go for the gold rather blending into the crowd. There’s nothing more valuable than quality time with those who are important to you.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (June 15).
Friends fight over you this year. Your popularity soars without any effort on your part. You serve as the moderator. Your self-confidence can grow in November if you allow yourself the room to change and try new things. A sprightly mate overhauls your logical, no-nonsense approach to love in January. Plan weddings for May and June. Your lucky numbers are: 37, 8, 50, 39 and 18.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
You forgive and therefore grow past the one in your life who will not forgive. A romantic relationship needs a little spark – be spontaneous. Don’t worry whether or not someone loves you, unless that person is you.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Be more conscious of the effect you have on others. Don’t carry your career attitude into your personal relationships unless you love drama. Tonight, you flirt and schmooze, which could cause tension with a loved one.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
A compromise can be worked out of the most impossible-seeming situations. Don’t panic when the money comes in slowly, but make the most of downtime. New commitments bring conflict until loved ones adjust.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Initiate changes on the domestic scene. New people come into the picture. Be selective, remembering that first impression, though it quickly blurs when you get to know someone. Fast learning happens tonight.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Respond to gut-level instincts – you are right on target now. Fast moves are lucky. If you have to wonder for a long time about whether or not it’s a good idea, it’s probably not.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
You’d rather put your head in the clouds regarding romance now, but for you, it’s simpler to let your rational mind rule. You are in a position to forgive. New friends influence your choices well. Don’t allow sexuality to think for you.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Since you’re the boss of your own show, step up. It’s OK to make mistakes as long as you learn from them. The afternoon highlights your communication skills, broad appeal and sexual magnetism. You’re hot!

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:
The giddy sweetness of new love will be experienced by many this week, although it might not be recognized as the start of something passionate. In fact, the lines that define different kinds of love get mighty blurry. You might find yourself asking why you’ve set up so much restriction in your mind about certain relationships. For instance, maybe it suddenly seems just fine to be friends with your ex-love and even to double-date with this person and your new love. Bygones will be bygones. Also, if you’ve been trying to nail a sweetie down to a commitment, for many, it won’t seem as important. Love is love, and the rules seem very socially imposed and almost arbitrary. Mercury follows the lead of lady Venus and enters Gemini on Thursday. It’s easy to express yourself and give your unique talents a chance to develop. It’s a terrific time to find your Dharma, or purpose in life, because you won’t be in the mood to make this a heavy, serious thing. Maybe your purpose is simply to make people laugh! The full moon on Saturday is in Sagittarius, the ever-moving realm constant adventure. Fulfill those travel plans!

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
I predict that country western singer Junior Brown will be a seminal influence on an emerging style of music. Much the way Patti Smith was credited as an innovator by ’80s musicians like R.E.M., Brown will be surprised as young punk rockers credit him as the godfather of their sound. Brown’s radical guitar style gives a fresh Gemini twist to a classic western tradition.
