Horoscope

June 8, 2003, (Sunday)

- Joyce Jillson -
That summer-fun feeling gets us in the mood to gather friends around for some quality playtime. The Cancer moon takes over midday, and if you can move people on an emotional level, you can get them to do almost anything. But don’t try influence through reason. No matter how sound a decision is, if it doesn’t feel right, it won’t happen.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Relationships enter a sensitive phase. Take care not to hurt others with criticism or engage in self-destructive patterns. Acts of generosity, performances and major purchases are favored. Don’t make romantic choices today.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Listen carefully, and tap into your capacity to delight others. You are especially intuitive. An attractive new acquaintance is available. Advice from parents or friends will sound like criticism, but don’t take it that way.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Start the day on a high note, and keep rolling. Think about new ways to make money; break free mentally while still holding to the bottom line and fulfilling practical responsibilities. Intellectual pursuits come to the forefront.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
You accomplish much with your gentle charm. Remind family members of scheduling changes, or people go out of their way to no avail. Singles join forces with someone in the same profession. An evening at home is sexy.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Take into consideration your own personal proclivities before you make your schedule, or you’ll resist what you’ve set out to do. If you overindulge, don’t worry – you’ll learn your lesson. "Fixing" things may make them worse.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (June 8).
You’ve got your finger on the pulse and will find solutions that are only available in the modern world. You might find work on the side as a consultant who helps others enter the future more gracefully. In the next three weeks, singles meet romantic hopefuls in a group of students or co-workers. Couples could elope or renew vows in October. Your lucky numbers are: 3, 22, 4, 25 and 38.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
You’ll get as much attention as you can handle. Be careful what you ask of others – what is reasonable to you is hard for someone else to handle. Trust in the group power, and don’t try to change everyone’s mind.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Friends rub one another the wrong way, which is grist for the mill. Logic will get you what you want, even in matters of the heart. Get informed about world and community events. This will prove useful in the near future.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
Because you loosen your grip on the controls of life, the world opens exciting possibilities. You’ll get many a chance to strengthen your communicative abilities. Team sports bring you in contact with a sexy romantic prospect.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Day-to-day rituals of love are what’s important. If you neglect those who mean the most to you, there is no second chance to make right your actions. Worries about the future are not productive. Trust in the flow of things.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
You’ll shine in front of those who matter the most to you. Team efforts are blessed; assemble friends, and get to work. You resolve domestic problems. Go all out in romancing a loved one this evening.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Shake up the status quo, and do things with your own personal imprint. Becoming more active in a volunteer organization helps your career. Use kindness and generosity to penetrate your obstacle. Consider a move.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Positive strokes motivate you to achieve a record-breaking accomplishment. A loved one is supportive if you keep communication flowing as you are making decisions. Socializing opens up new avenues for financial gain.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:
This will be another week of the Gemini sun’s playful antics. The top of the week is so amusing, it’s difficult to imagine how anything could be as serious as it probably should be. Big daddy Jupiter and dreamy, scheming Neptune get into an astrological tiff early in the week, which blows open our imaginations to let in more possibilities. Choose carefully what you focus on in order to make the most of this transit. You can worry, or you can dream big. The universe gives lots of information about whatever you home your attention on. Saturn slips into Cancer on June 3, which is a call to be there for those you love who are going through a rocky time. On the 6th, Uranus goes retrograde and continues in this manner until Nov. S8. Uranus is usually the rebel, but this retrograde motion could cause an odd new perception of what the rules are and how they are to be followed. A normally lax attitude could become strict, and those who are normally strict could loosen the reins entirely. Try not to pass harsh judgment unless it is absolutely warranted, since nobody really fully understands what another person is dealing with.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Melissa Etheridge could collaborate on a children’s book this year or create a singing character for a children’s animated series. Her generous Jupiter lights up with maternal feelings this fall, and she’ll be compelled to use her voice to contribute something that little ones will remember her for. Gemini folks have a special relationship with kids because in a sense this mischievous sign never really grows up.
