Horoscope

March 23, 2003

- Joyce Jillson -
The effects of Pluto’s retrograde motion start to take hold with a global transformation that will irreversibly change outdated attitudes. The good news: People get out of ruts and discover new ways to make money and find love. Optimism might be in short supply, so those who’ve got it need to share it with everyone around!

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Volunteer activities and hosting lead to opportunities now out of reach. Your confidence grows when a respected friend brags about your talent. Lead the way with big laughs – some people need to loosen up!

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Being objective in love is nearly impossible. If you feel connected to a project, you will have unlimited energy to see it through. You are powerfully, almost physically connected to children.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Rare bargains appear, allowing you to upgrade your lifestyle. Let others know you’re available, and fabulous invitations arrive. Anyone who has hurt your feelings in the past will feel the sting of their actions coming full circle today.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
It’s easier to zero in on the root of a friend’s problem than it is to look at your own. Group goals are attained before personal ones – work on being as accountable to yourself as you are to others.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Tell your thoughts to someone trustworthy. Others have the same fears and anxieties as you do. Your style attracts a hot partner – but of course, your sexiest quality is sheer determination. Be assertive, or a loan may not be repaid.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (March 23).
You’ll enjoy increased security in a variety of ways this year, including emotional and financial. A new career or opening a new business could take most of your attention over the next three months. Family partnerships in June push you towards financial independence. Scorpio and Pisces adore you, but marriage may be to a Virgo. Your lucky numbers are: 6, 31, 25, 30 and 11.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
You can’t afford not to take risks today, as your luck is fabulous. Ask for a favor straight out rather than hinting around about what you want. Give away what you no longer have a use for. Attend social events you avoided before.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
there’s more than one way to get your point across to impossibly stubborn people in your life, but you’ll do well with the gentle approach. A new love interest shares your values and possibly even some of your dreams.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
Feelings may be difficult to explain or talk about, but bring them up anyway. Ask for new ideas – support from intellectuals makes a difference in your life. Accept social invitations, and propose some yourself.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
A competitive attitude doesn’t help you understand a friend any better. Strive for compassion, especially when it doesn’t come easily. Separations that come now are for the best; you’ll be glad to see each other later.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
A reasonable plan works. Labor-intensive projects should be postponed until your vision for the end result is clearer. If you can’t afford to jump into a new hobby or venture, splitting the cost with friends is the way to go.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
When the pressure is on, you rise above. Persistence pays off – the object of your affection returns your love. Family members are more accepting than you think they are. Take a chance, and let ideas be heard.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
It surprises you that loved ones, relatives and friends are more generous when you make demands or at least talk openly about your ambitions. Disagreements are resolved by the time the sun sets. Take emotional risks.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:
The way Pluto shakes things up can put everyone on edge – only the process seems to happen in slow motion. Over the course of weeks and months, the intensity is raised on a global level, encouraging (even forcing) us to look at where we’re going, not so much individually, but as a race. A transformation is underway, that much is certain. And as for the uncertain stuff, give credence to the voice of wisdom that reminds us that the only thing to fear is fear itself. Early in the week, the Capricorn moon helps us understand how we fit into the societal structures around us. Mercury and Jupiter have a chatty conversation on Tuesday that lets everyone know that as long as you’ve got love, everything is going to be OK. Optimism is the very form of faith that will move mountains (in tiny increments, but that still counts!). Thursday, Lady Venus bids adieu to Aquarius and dives into serious Pisces. The quest to deepen our commitment to one another’s well-being is featured. Singles: Heads up! Nostalgia sets in at the close of the week, and many will be tempted to give another round to relationships that are already played out.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
The sector of physical strength lights up this year for former galaxy traveler, William Shatner. He could get a trainer and mold his body into the best shape it’s been in for decades _ or ever! His motivation nwill be a challenge set forth by a dear friend. This opens up a new reason to make the talk-show circuit, and he might end up the spokesperson for a healthy product as a result.
