- Joyce Jillson -
The tension between Mars and Uranus manifests itself in spontaneous bursts of creativity, passion, anger, excitement and maybe even pain. The key to making this transit work for you is focus. Whatever you focus on will grow, so choose to look at what’s working in your life. Then, any energy that comes will propel you to greater success.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Advances in technology, style or thinking have everyone gathering to your circle – don’t give away all your secrets, and they’ll come back for m ore. Avoid friends who’ve lately had nothing but sour grapes to share.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Someone sexy tempts you. Smoldering glances are leading to something. If you’re not in a position to follow through, keep your sunglasses on, or just don’t look. A family member takes a dangerous date.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Respect won’t be given to you on a silver tray. You’ll have to prove yourself over and over. At some point, you’ll choose not to care so much about getting it. You know what you’ve done, and that’s where the real reward is.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
Just when you’re feeling lethargic, someone irritating comes to your rescue. Knowing you have to beat out the one who doesn’t deserve the prize (but will claim it just the same) is rocket fuel propelling you toward the reward.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
You’re serious about your fun. If you use time efficiently, those you live with will be mindful not to make you wait. A few words from you are all that is necessary to make an arrangement final.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (January 19).
Exciting options are out there, and you are in control! The stars give you an extra dose of willpower now to handle the issue you’d most like to change in your life. Travel in February leads to a permanent move or vocation change. New family members arrive in March. A cancer or Pisces makes you work hard for a love that is well worth the effort.. Your lucky numbers are: 4, 17, 24, 38 and 41.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
A fantasy life calls to you through the travel channel, a paperback or an elaborate game. Take all the time you need to relax because this sets you up for a highly productive week. If not, the next three days are sluggish.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
A loved one feels very possessive of you, which could push you into greater asserting your independence. Understanding the role someone play sin your life will give you more tools to deal with this person.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
There’s still much to be learned about your heritage. Investigate, ask elders, and probe for stories. What you can hand down to your children is a source of pride. Dinnertime sharing amuses one and all.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Jet-set friends inspire you to dream bigger. Confidence is high because you note the effect you have on others. Anyone lucky enough to experience your ardent passion when you are in love becomes addicted.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
A powerful creative spirit takes hold, and you can use it wit your personal relationships. The time you spend with others will be memorable even a decade from now. It’s even more important than usual to be a good listener.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Payments due you might not come this week. Consider your other resources before the banking week starts. You’ll triumph in a word game, board game or card game. Before you start, suggest that the winner gets a prize.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Even if you life someone very much, it takes something special to make an impact now. Relationships that aren’t maintained will trail off into oblivion. If dating, brainstorm about how you can be distinguished from the rest.

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD:
Mars can be a bodyguard or a thug. Uranus is the moment of combustion. With these two flexing at one another this week, the predicament gets more interesting. If it’s already a volatile situation, it could be headed for an explosion. That’s why this is the perfect time to take a little personal inventory. Make sure your bases are covered. The one really effective way to solve life’s problems is prevention. This could mean getting the car repaired, paying your insurance policy on the house, incorporating better nutrition, telling loved ones you’re crazy about them… the list goes on. The most important thing is to take care of what’s yours. The second most important thing is to focus on positive aspects of your life. After all, an explosion can be a good thing if it, say, lights a light bulb or makes your engine to. The full moon in Cancer on Saturday gives you the opportunity to pour out your feelings and figure out which ones are based on something true and which ones are just a bad reaction to past stimuli. It can be a very romantic weekend if you let loved ones feel like they can really express themselves.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Kate Moss gets a bad rap, primarily because she ushered in an era of "waif" models – who represent an impossibly skinny figure. She wisely won’t accept the blame. After all, her Capricorn nature caused her to be not the only thin model but the most successful one. Capricorns are very driven and strive for the highest profile. A new mother this year, she could start a line of pregnancy products.
