Horoscope

December 23, 2002

- Joyce Jillson -
The sun is just getting reacquired with his cool friend, Capricorn. A certain seriousness takes hold in the morning, but this only makes us laugh harder when things don’t quite go our way. Te Leo moon says laughter is the best entertainment, so if you must impart information, do it with humor, and the message will be remembered.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. You’ve changed your priorities, and suddenly, new doors are open to you. You can succeed in any area, but choose one at a time. Insight is your most attractive attribute now, and Taurus thinks so, too!

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
If you think someone isn’t hearing you, an angry cycle could start. Keep doing more than most people and expecting better than average compensation, too. You’ll get what you project now – the universe is extremely fair.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Questions of integrity surface in the morning, and you do what’s honorable. Pause, and deal directly with what bothers you instead of going on in spite of it. Planning for unexpected costs is the surest way not to get caught off guard.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)
. Resisting what’s going on around you causes stress. Be loose, and the whole family feels comfortable. The resolution of problems will be effortless, too. Friendships worth keeping may require you to say you’re sorry.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Everyone needs you now, it seems. Value your own time, and others will, too. Tell loved ones of future plans now – maybe they can help. Love with someone playful and smart gives you something to sing about.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (December 23).
Relax. The calmer you can be, the more ready you will be to jump on this month’s stellar romantic opportunity. To be truly understood feels so good, you’ll go into the new year on a high note that touches all you do. Partner up for a March investment but not until you’ve talked to a lawyer. Your best love signs are Pisces and Scorpio. Your lucky numbers are: 5, 29, 11, 50 and 16.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
Mutual respect among loved ones makes everything else turn out just fine. You’re great at risk taking – and your fortune multiplies. You don’t have to sell out to achieve what you want – in fact, not selling out is exactly the point.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Respect for tradition scores points with someone who matters to you. Express yourself through the arts – you’ve got more talent than you give yourself credit for. Taking care of partners could be part of the order of the day.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
The temptation is to get so wrapped up in problems that things around you become part of a massive blur You must take time to nourish your spirit. Find a mentor to avoid getting lost.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Put your mental and physical health first. If you think there is not enough time to exercise or to cook for yourself, you’re wrong. What wastes time is getting sick. A Libra teaches you a recipe.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
You know what is best for all. There is no room for self-doubt, as many are counting on you. Shake off procrastination. Some aspects of new romance are far from ideal, though strong impulses make you believe otherwise.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Your leadership ability is needed today. Others look to you to take care of a delicate situation. Your sex appeal is high, so boldly flirt with someone you have been admiring from afar. Attend a concert or play tonight.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Don’t be afraid to strip away old habits. Benefits, both spiritual and physical, come your way. Get errands and chores out of the way. You’ll find a new possibility for your heart. Youngsters are refreshingly honest – pay attention.

BREAKING DOWN THE BARRIERS BETWEEN YOU AND MONEY IN 2003 (PART ONE OF THREE):
ARIES: Working on your sense of entitlement is key. If you don’t believe in your heart of hearts that you deserve it, making money will only be a grind. Look in the mirror 20 times every day, and tell yourself, "I make money. I make lots of money!" TAURUS: Earning really isn’t a problem, but your spending style might be keeping you from feeling any gratification from your hard work. You’ve got expensive taste, and much of what you make goes directly to supporting that habit. In short, feeling rich means releasing your need to put so much money into what you truly can’t afford quite yet. GEMINI: Your talent for trend tracking is exceptional. Put this instinct to work for you in 2003, and make money with a sideline service-oriented business. The important thing is that you dedicate time daily to making your business lucrative. CANCER: Your talent reaches people this year, and those personal connections are what keep them coming back for what only you can offer. If you are in an environment that stifles you creatively, this is the main thing keeping you from earning what you could.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Ted Danson plays himself on the HBO hit series "Curb Your Enthusiasm," a role that probably stretches him more than he thought it would. The reason is that there’s an improvisational aspect of the show that is not as natural to Capricorn as to other signs. However, improvisation is something that ultimately Capricorns do very well because they refuse to be unreal in any way.
