Horoscope

September 30, 2002

- Joyce Jillson -
The moon returns to Cancer’s comforts, and we become more likely to stay home, too. After all, much needs to be done to make our environmental creative, nurturing and cozy. Get the laundry and cleaning out of the way so the real work can begin. The impact of moving stuff around is more profound than we’ll realize right away.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Examine relationships, and evaluate their purpose in your life. Do the work that will make your friendships more honest and meaningful. This improves almost every other aspect of your life.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Goals are reached by collaborating with others who are headed in the same direction. Something broken gives you a fantastic idea or produces a fortuitous meeting that wouldn’t have happened otherwise.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
You’ll get the go-ahead – and maybe a little start-up cash – from the one in charge. Family members finally accept that you’re on your own person. Overlook a friend’s mistake – he or she does the same for you.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)
. Go out and date! Career advancement comes when your work is seen by your immediate superior, so put yourself in the limelight whenever you get the chance. Co-workers may try to sidetrack you from goals, but stay positive.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Intuition is your best ally, so leave your intellect at home. If you don’t want to hurt a co-worker’s feelings, stop flirting. It may be harmless to you, but it is unfair in any case. An Aries is your strongest supporter.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (September 30).
Promote yourself! New opportunities are a direct result of your confident efforts to spread the word about who you are and what you do. Through November, opportunities turn up on the personal front as well. Singles grow through meaningful attachments – likely partners are Cancer and Leo. February is rich with investment opportunities. Your lucky numbers are: 2, 12, 14, 29 and 24.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
Set up meetings – there’s almost no one who won’t take your call. Being available for last-minute assignments will bring you the bi bucks or get you notices by the boss. Children manipulate you if you give them half the chance.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
You’re a dreamer, perhaps to a fault. If you can steer your mind toward taking control of your own destiny, you will be happier than you ever imagined. Seek counsel from someone older and wiser, but ultimately, you are in charge.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
Operate on a cash-only basis. Your tendency this morning is to deny negative qualities in yourself and project them onto others. Someone close will be more careful with your feelings if you talk about how you’d like to be treated.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
You needn’t have a reason for the new direction you choose to expand in. Pick an area of study that you love just because you love it. New exciting ventures await – including fascinating romance.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Smart scheduling brings luck. A hobby that is also charitable is the luckiest. You are infused with energy from new social circles. Play matchmaker with mutual acquaintances – you may alter the course of the universe.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Travel; you’ll meet new love. Don’t be too quick to judge. There’s more time available to do what you really want to do than you think there is. A family member supports you, so try not to take everything on by yourself.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Now is not the time to procrastinate. A significant move in your love life happens tonight. A position seems tailor-made for you. An offer you can’t refuse isn’t what it seems, so examine it cautiously.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"I am a 41-year-old Pisces. I ran into a problem at work and am now facing a felony charge. I am fighting this, but I am very frightened. Could you please tell me if I have a chance? My biggest concern is how my family will handle this."

First, change your top concern. Instead of worrying about your family, it’s time to get real with yourself. Take a personal inventory – search your soul for answers to questions like "How did I get into this mess in the first place?" Until you understand and admit your responsibility in this scene, nothing is going to get easier, no matter what your family thinks. Second, change the behavior that created this problem. When all is right with your personal ethics, the outside world will support in your fight. The most important thing is – if you really are guilty – that you admit your guilt. This act is difficult, but it’s your freedom. Once done, this will open your life up to gifts you never imagined would come to you, as strange as that sounds. You are not a victim in this, and believing you are keeps you in downward spiral.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Libra is the sign of art and design, and many of the top individuals in those fields are born under the sign of the scale. Donna Karan is one such designer. Her focus on comfort, simplicity and elegance upholds the Libran aesthetic. Karan would make a surprise announcement this year that puts her on the top of the list for Oscar night 2003.
