Despite sincere efforts to get out of town this Labor Day weekend, it just may not happen. Blame it on the stars, as the Cancer moon pulls us to do things at home. A garden party in the backyard will be just as satisfying as a day at the beach. Virgo influence overhead could have you working harder at play that you would at work.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
. Getting certain responsibilities off your back is as effective as taking an expensive vacation. This afternoon brings exceptional momentum in love, when everything you say and do seems to click with a new partner.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Take time to assess the situation before jumping in. Be careful not to let an innocent remark keep you brooding. Make things easy on yourself financially. Try to start a new venture with a clean slate.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Organize think tanks or volunteer groups. Collaborations promise future funds. Document your ideas on paper – you’ll be glad later when all you need is at your fingertips. Games are fun tonight, with surprising results.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)
. You encourage loved ones to achieve their full potential. Nurturing comes easily, but be sure to turn some of the care toward yourself, too. Sweethearts are jealous; don’t flaunt it if everybody wants you.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
More resources will be available to you after you’ve used the ones you’ve got. An enthusiastic person exaggerates – don’t believe all you hear. Guilt is useless, so give it up. Do what makes you feel beautiful.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (September 1).
Someone with your sense of humor helps start your year off with a good mood that lasts and lasts. Laughing, after all, is the way to exceptional health, increased energy and sex appeal that attracts just the right company. You may be tempted to slack off in the career department, but don’t. Productivity is key to financial wins this year. Your lucky numbers are: 2, 11, 4, 29 and 32.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
Work on the whole picture instead of fretting over details. Careful – tempers can still be tipped if egos aren’t stroked. A sweetheart asks for help with a family problem. Time limitations actually lead to getting more accomplished.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Explore your options instead of rushing into costly arrangements. Verbal skills shine, and independence attracts the people you want. Geminis and Sagittarians are ideal new friends, but don’t rush the romance.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
Call off plans if you have a funny feeling. You can now handle a moody friend much better. Be good – a sweetheart shows up where you would least expect. Your best ideas may come from dreams.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
In romance, the pace grows, and so do the stakes. If new ideas are not flowing to you, then take a break from the routine! Don’t wait for friends to call; those who are on your mind want to hear from you.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Love may require strategy, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t real. Remember not to expect the other person to read your mind; Do not wield your influence; your casual comments can cut deep.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
Venting on friends who have nothing to do with the problem is pointless; resolve to work problems out constructively. Developing children need to be read to. Action around the domestic scene may include having the group over.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Whatever you do, realize that everyone is a little raw around the heart and gentle handling makes friends for life. Investigate something everyone has passed over – this is a gem in the rough. Your financial situation improves.

Forecast For The Week Ahead:
With the sun in Virgo and the moon in moody Cancer, many Labor Day plans that included some kind of travel will be scaled down or brought back home. It’s fine for everyone involved, though, as the pleasures home has to offer are endless. Gardening, barbecuing and home renovations are all a blast. Painting party, anyone? The family that’s productive together forges bonds that no amount of play could duplicate. Groups who share an important purpose have terrific luck in attaining that purpose this week. The Virgo sun lends a critical eye and a ruthless approach to problem solving. There’s no rest until resolution is complete and certain. On Tuesday, the Leo moon promises that there’s plenty to talk about at dinner – some of it untrue but entertaining nonetheless. The new moon on Friday makes it an ideal day to start a love affair. Dates are golden, giddy and uplifting – whether you’re going out with an ex or someone completely new. Saturday promises to bring some sexy excitement to the mix as Venus takes a run in sultry Scorpio. Infatuation comes on strong and may not end up in anything real, but that’s the point. It’s fun to explore the fantasy anyhow.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
There’s something about Cameron Diaz, and it’s got Virgo written all over it. Born under a sign associated with natural beauty, Diaz has been modeling since she was 16. Another trait linked to Virgos – they tend to grow up fast. At 16, Diaz was already touring the world to model. Marriage this year? Nope! It takes Virgo a long time to decide to marry, and Virgo women have extremely stringent requirements!
