Horoscope

May 05, 2002

- Joyce Jillson -
It’s a perfect day to do some spring cleaning not just around your home but every area of your life, too. Get rid of outmoded clothes, obligations, friends and no-good acquaintances. Start the week by breathing in the fresh air that the full moon brings. Begin a diet or exercise program. Do it gently, or you may end up sabotaging your efforts.

ARIES (March 21-April 19).
Get out of your normal routine, and you’ll find that your romantic luck is hot. Create your own good news by doing proactive things for your career – like writing down some of your goals, cleaning your desk or sprucing up your wardrobe.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Children will say the most remarkable things. Be extra careful not to squash imagination or impose your own views on someone impressionable. If you don’t know how to make your environment better, hire someone who does.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
If you need a second chance, you’ll get it this afternoon. Listen to learn, and speak to teach; which of these two do you need to do more? Be a financial winner, and make cash purchases whenever possible – it’ll be refreshing.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
If wishing could make your dreams come true, you’d find yourself in a perfect world. Accept reality graciously. Your search for wisdom will be aided by a Pisces. Stress could creep in this afternoon, so read something calming.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
What you know about money can be built on by a Capricorn or Virgo. Ask inquisitive questions this afternoon. It’s time to move to the next level, and you need to know how. Potential sweethearts are attracted to your sincerity and strong will.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (May 5).
You’ve let some important matters slide You can make up for lost time by taking bold actions in May and early June. Go over accounts, know where every penny goes, and your romantic partner will also become more financially stable. Entangled business matters can sort themselves out in July if you’re patient. Focus on love, especially with a Libra or fellow Taurus. Your lucky numbers are: 7, 12, 13, 24 and 35.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
You’ll finally reach your goal; celebrate with your nearest and dearest friends. Helpful relationship hints may be irritating to hear, so don’t ask for them. Enjoy your big appetite tonight. There are unseen advantages to learning how to cook.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23).
Persistence is the key in getting noticed. Look beyond someone’s bleak outer appearance. Capitalize on even the smallest opportunities, and create something for yourself now. A partner’s opinion may morph into yours tonight!

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
Clean out an old storage unit. What you find will get your imagination rolling, which may help your bank account in the long run, too. You might be irresistibly attracted to someone you never liked much. Pay attention to your dreams tonight.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Prepare for impending change. Unlike other people, you always look forward to the adventure of something completely new. As far as getting more fun into your life, unplugging the phone and turning off the television will help.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19).
Having your own space to do quiet personal work may become a reality soon. An Aquarius can help you make an important decision about something. Elders are too proud to tell you they need you. Observe them carefully.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
It may seem as if people are imitating your every move, but they really are following your lead. Take it as a compliment. Be sure to thank anyone who goes out of his or her way for you. Put the spark back in your love life.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Fantasy has its time and place, so get started on a project that yields concrete results now. Your fickle love partner may finally make a decision, but you have the last word. Enjoy time alone, and don’t force something to happen.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"My younger brother was killed in the Sept. 11 tragedy in New York City. Could an astrologer have seen the attack coming?"

Probably not. For one of my newspaper clients, I did a chart of New York City immediately after the disaster, and it showed various big problems. It showed the stock market debacle; it showed that a portion of the city was "under siege," but from whom? Or what? It was so enormous I could not tell, even in retrospect. The chart also showed the sadness from the loss of lives. I told of the great resilience and unity of the citizens. Although I’d like to say I saw it coming, I didn’t. If I had been focusing on an individual’s chart who was harmed by the act or war, I probably would have seen danger in it and that they were in a "testy" time on Sept. 11, but that is all. In going over the chart of the United States, I have seen (again in retrospect) the catastrophe on September in that chart, and I might have seen it before, but I wasn’t focused on that chart pre-Sept. 11. As an astrologer, I am limited in my predictions to the charts I am studying at any given time, such as these daily forecasts. I promise to try harder in the future. My condolences for your terrible loss.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Cher is the same girl she used to be, even with a new album and blonde hair. She’s a superstar who reminds us that Taurus’ sex appeal knows no age limit. Her Capricorn moon propels her to the top of the charts time and time again. She’ll experience big success with her latest single on the charts, especially if she keeps the concert schedule she promised to all of her devoted fans, young and old, worldwide.
