MANILA, Philippines — Former beauty queen Priscilla Meirelles opened up about the rumored rocky romance with husband John Estrada last year.
In her interview with "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Priscilla admitted that they went through a rough patch last year, but she learned a lot from it.
“Unang-una, ang dami kong natutunan tungkol sa akin, sa sarili ko. Kasi very light akong tao, I’m very easy-going. And darating sa panahon na ang lahat ng tao may limit," she said.
"Dumating ako sa limit, kailangan ko sabihin ‘yung isang bagay para naiintindihan ng kabilang side na tama na. Nangyari siya, and natutunan ko diyan, at the end of the day, ‘yung pinakaimportanteng bagay sa buhay natin is peace of mind," she added.
Priscilla said that she wanted peace of mind and she will tell her partner if she can't bear it anymore.
"Kung wala kang peace, hindi ka pwedeng mabuhay. Darating din sa panahon na I cannot function kasi I was not happy. Bilang isang babae kailangan masaya ako. Sa buong experience ko bilang asawa, ginagawa ko lahat," she said.
"Beyond and above ‘yung mga majority ng mga babae would do, forgive and forget. Pero sinasabi ko na darating ang panahon na I’m not getting any younger. Kailangan masaya ako sa sarili ko, kung hindi ko kaya, sasabihin ko, ‘Sorry, hindi ko kaya."
Priscilla and John then talked about their problem and fixed things up.
“‘I’m with you. Please trust me and I will do my best' and believe ko na lang na he will do his best. And ako naman, Tito Boy, tao lang tao, ‘di ba? So, I am in the situation right now, of course, we’re married pa rin, and we’re laughing, we’re having a great time," she said.
"But I’m not gonna take anything of what I already took up to this point. So alam niya nasa limit na ako. So, whatever happens from this point on, it’s on him. I’ve done my part,” she added. — Video from GMA Network YouTube channel
