Tropical storm "Caloy" was estimated at 2 p.m. yesterday at 210 kms west-southwest of Metro Manila or 190 kms southwest of Iba, Zambales with maximum sustained winds of 110 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 140 kph. It is forecast to move west-northwest at 15 kph.
"Caloy" is expected to be at 380 kms west of Iba, Zambales this afternoon.
The Mindoro provinces (including Lubang Island), Batangas, Cavite and Bataan will have stormy weather. The rest of Western Luzon and Western Visayas will have rains and gusty winds, and moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will be cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, and moderate seas.
Public Storm Warning Signal No. 2 is hoisted over the Mindoro provinces (including Lubang Island), Batangas, Cavite and Bataan, which will have winds of 61-100 kph.
Public Storm Warning Signal No. 1 is in effect over Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales and Metro Manila, which will have winds of 30-60 kph.
