Typhoon "Yoyoy" has entered the Philippine area of responsibility and is moving in a northwest direction. It is not yet expected to affect any part of the country within 36 hours.

At 2 p.m. yesterday, the center of "Yoyoy" was located at 1,080 kms east of Bicol with maximum sustained winds of 205 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 250 kph. It is moving northwest at 7 kph.

"Yoyoy" is forecast to be at 1,010 kms east-northeast of Bicol or 1,210 kms east-southeast of Casiguran, Aurora this morning.

The eastern sections of Luzon and the Visayas will have mostly cloudy skies with rains. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Coastal waters in northern and eastern Luzon and eastern Visayas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, seas will be slight to moderate.
