Typhoon "Kaka" was estimated at 2 p.m. yesterday at 860 kms east-northeast of Basco, Batanes with strongest sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph. It is forecast to move southeast at 9 kph.
Meanwhile, a monsoon trough prevails across extreme northern Luzon.
The western sections of Luzon and the Visayas will have occasional monsoon rains. The rest of Luzon will be cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
