At 4 p.m. yesterday, "Caloy" was estimated at 40 kms west-southwest of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur or 110 kms east of Malaybalay, Bukidnon, with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph. It is expected to move west-northwest at 19 kph.
"Caloy" is expected to be 100 kms southwest of Dumaguete City tomorrow afternoon, and 440 kms west-northwest of Puerto Princesa, Palawan by Sunday afternoon.
Public Storm Warning Signal No. 1 is in effect over the Leyte provinces, the Dinagat and Siargao islands, Bohol, Siquijor, Cebu, the Negros provinces, Panay, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon and the Agusan and Davao provinces.
These areas will have rains and winds of up to 55 kph and moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the Visayas and Mindanao and Bicol will be cloudy with scattered rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms, and slight to moderate seas. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and slight seas.
