Kendra Kramer winning medals for swimming; ponders showbiz in magazine cover
MANILA, Philippines — Young model Kendra Kramer, eldest daughter of celebrity couple Doug Kramer and Chesca Garcia-Kramer, recently graced the digital cover of a national magazine.
In the cover story penned by Grace Diez, Kendra talks about her passion for swimming as influenced by Chesca — a former swimmer — and to try out different sports like Doug, a basketball star.
It was a difficult decision at first because Kendra wanted to do swimming and ballet at the same time.
"But I said, if you really want to be good at something, you have to choose one and dedicate your time and be committed to that. I know it hurt her but I said, give this a chance. And she did," Chesca said. "Now, she's loving it and she's spending time watching videos, getting to know the sport even better, and training hard."
Kendra says swimming stands out because there is a need to rely on oneself even during relays, "If you know you've worked hard, if you know you put in the time and the effort, you won't have to doubt yourself because you're not relying on other people."

Such dedication and two hours of training five times a week have paid off as Kendra's won different medals in various swimming competitions already.
The teenager is also a studious child who enjoys reading books. But one thing on a lot of people's minds is if Kendra will enter showbiz like Chesca and her uncle Patrick Garcia.
"Maybe. If there's like a nice project, I will talk to my parents about it. I'm not saying no because you never know, right?" Kendra said.
Kendra thanked her parents for being a support system while growing up in the public eye, making sure she arrives at the best decisions for her.
"I just want to enjoy life. I feel like I have a lot of responsibilities but I feel like I can take it more lightly because I’m not an adult yet," she finished.
