MANILA, Philippines — Fourteen party-list groups, mostly incumbents, are leading in the latest pre-electoral survey conducted by the OCTA Research group.
Results of the Feb. 22 to 28 survey released yesterday showed 4Ps party-list leading with support of 5.74 percent of the respondents.
It was followed by ACT-CIS (4.83 percent), Galing sa Puso (3.88 percent), Tingog (3.54 percent), Ako Bicol (3.51 percent), Uswag Ilonggo (3.35 percent), Duterte Youth (3.16 percent), FPJ Panday Bayanihan (3.16 percent), Nanay (2.47 percent), Senior Citizens (2.19 percent), Ang Probinsyano (2.12 percent), Abono (2.08 percent), Tupad (2.03 percent) and PPP (2.02 percent).
Out of the 14, only four do not have seats in the present Congress: FPJ Panday Bayanihan, Nanay, Tupad and PPP.
A total of 155 party-list organizations are running in this year’s elections.
Under the law, party-lists that secure at least two percent of support from voters are guaranteed at least a seat in Congress.
The computation of seats is based on a previous ruling released by the Supreme Court.
According to OCTA, 16 other party-list groups may secure seats based on the results of its February survey.
These include BHW, Malasakit@Bayanihan, 1-Rider, Solid North, ABP, Lunas, Cibac, Epanaw Sambayanan, Kapuso PM, BH – Bagong Henerasyon, 1Pacman, Pamilya Ko, LPGMA, Bayan Muna, Abante Bisdak and Coop-Natco.
The survey had 1,200 respondents and a margin of error of plus/minus three percent.
