Medialdea discharged from hospital

MANILA, Philippines — Former executive secretary Salvador Medialdea has been discharged from hospital in The Hague, Sen. Bong Go said yesterday.

Go shared on Facebook the update on Medialdea’s health since he was brought to the hospital on a stretcher from The Hague penitentiary, where former president Rodrigo Duterte is held for trial for crimes against humanity.

Go said Medialdea’s heart procedure was successful, but the latter needs to stay in The Hague for six more weeks before he is allowed to go back to the Philippines.

The senator thanked the public for their prayers for Medialdea’s health, as he also called for more prayers for the health and release of Duterte from the custody of the International Criminal Court.
