MANILA, Philippines — Inaasahang mas magiging pisikal pa ang banggaan ng Barangay Ginebra at TNT Tropang Giga para sa agawan sa 2-1 lead sa Season 49 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals.

Magtutuos ang Gin Kings at Tropang Giga ngayng alas-7:30 ng gabi sa Game Three sa PhilSports Arena sa Pasig City.

Matapos kunin ng TNT ang Game One, 95-89, ay nakatabla ang Ginebra sa Game Two, 71-70, kung saan hindi nila pinatira si import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson sa huling 4.3 segundo ng laro.

“There was no magic in the words that I might have said. These guys just showed true grit all the way,” ani Gin Kings coach Tim Cone sa naging depensda nila sa Tropang Giga.

“We knew that if we want to have a chance in this series, we’re gonna have to show that character and that true grit,” dagdag ng two-time PBA Grand Slam champion mentor.

Sa Game Two ay nili­mi­tahan ng Ginebra ang TNT sa apat na puntos sa ka­buuan ng second period mula sa mahinang 2-of-22 field goal shooting patungo sa kanilang pagtatayo ng isang 15-point lead sa pagbubukas ng third quarter.

Sa likod ni Hollis-Jeffer­son ay nagawa ng Tropang Giga na maagaw ang unahan sa 70-67 sa huling dalawang minuto ng fourth quarter.

Bumanat si import Justin Brownlee ng apat na puntos para sa 71-70 ben­ta­he ng Gin Kings kasunod ang depensa ni Stephen Holt kay Hollis-Jefferson.

Inaasahan ni Cone na gagawa ng adjustment si coach Chot Reyes para makabawi ang PLDT franchise at si Hollis-Jefferson.

“Hopefully, coach Chot calls me out on it. I’m good with that, so it’s all about getting better,” ani Hollis-Jefferson sa kanyang ka­pal­pakan sa Game Two.
