MANILA, Philippines — Cooler temperature is expected to resume in Luzon including Metro Manila tomorrow after the northeast monsoon weakened in the past days, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

At a briefing yesterday, PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja said that the temperature in Metro Manila ranged between 24 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius while the temperature in Baguio City slightly increased to 16.2 degrees Celsius because of the weakened northeast monsoon.

Estareja said that weak northeast monsoon prevailed in extreme Northern Luzon as easterlies or warm wind from the Pacific Ocean affected major parts of the country.

Rains will also be experienced in some areas in Bicol tomorrow and will further spread in other portions of the region on Wednesday, he noted.

Rains are expected in Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga and Davao region due to shear line and easterlies, he said.
